THE HOPE, JOY AND FUTURE OF OUR LIVES.

  MAMA CHEKA AND PAPA PETER

      FOUNDERS DAY 28/9/2018

Here  was born a beautiful creature in a family, a village and a town I didn't choose to be born. When I looked at my father, mother and my elder sisters and brothers, I saw nothing rather than myself driving a tinted glass vehicle without wheels, no hope for my life, what I only saw was darkness and my shattered dreams, sitting down hopelessly in a mud-made, makuti thatched hut, tears rolling down my cheeks, asking myself endless questions like why! Why! Why! Was I born in such a poor, pathetic and hopeless family? Why does everyone look like a street child in our family? But no one gave me an answer, instead a cold shoulder I received with pathetic faces. I saw my agemates  go to school while watching as if am watching a box of television in our hut full of hungry rat. We sometimes went for nights even without a glass of water to quench our thirst.

Finally here comes my joy, my hope and my future. A tall good looking and pure in heart man, Papa Peter with his beautiful wife, not only were they beautiful physically but they also possessed the inner rare beauty that is hard to find. The two joined hands and began a charity school known as FUTURE HOPE, as the name suggest this was the future hope to me and other destitute children like me.

Being among the lucky children who were enrolled in the school. My joy was restored and hope given once again. I wake up early in the morning well dressed in my beautiful uniform provided by them, run to school happily knowing that there is something I will put in my belly, energised to start of my lesson on a high note. Free education, free uniforms, free food, free trips and medication. Thanks to Mama Cheka and Papa Tim for joining hands to sustain what was started before. I am very much assured that my future is being sharpened and i believe it will shine as the morning star. Mama Cheka, Papa Tim, my joy, my hope, my happiness and my future.

We had a brilliant Founders Day and celebrated 10 years of existence….starting small and growing year on year.
